Terms of service

What AskHmm does

AskHmm gives you evidence about an email’s sender and claims, and a suggested next step. It can be wrong in both directions: a real sender can look suspicious, and a fraudulent one can look fine. AskHmm is an aid to your judgement, not a guarantee. Always verify payment or banking changes through a channel you already trust.

Plans and billing

  • Free: instant checks without limit, and a monthly allowance of company and identity checks.
  • Pro: €24 per year (or the price shown in your currency at checkout). Founding price: subscriptions started on or before 31 January 2027 pay €12 per year, kept for as long as that subscription stays active.
  • Teams: €36 per user per year, from 3 users. One licence key covers the number of users paid for; you can add users at any time.
  • Free trial: Pro and Teams start with 7 days free. Your card is taken at checkout and first charged when the trial ends; cancel before then and you pay nothing.
  • Plans are billed yearly by Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. No VAT is added: VAT exempt under article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code (IVA – regime de isenção, art. 53.º do CIVA).
  • You can cancel at any time from Manage subscription. Pro stays active until the end of the paid year.
  • If you’re not happy within 14 days of paying, write to support@askhmm.com for a full refund.

Fair use

A Pro licence is for one person; a Teams licence is for the number of users paid for. Each user includes up to 300 LinkedIn and web searches a month, far more than one inbox needs; past that, every other check keeps running until the next month. Automated or bulk use of the check service isn’t allowed, and we may limit accounts that overload it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
